For the Women’s Criterium Shorts, Bellwether modified its eight panel design to adapt to a woman’s figure, ensuring comfort in the saddle throughout the pedaling motion. The panels have a high spandex content, which nets unrivaled stretch and complements the ergonomic panel shaping. In lieu of bibs, the leg cuffs have silicone leg grippers to keep the panels and the four-way stretch, highly breathable chamois in place.
Spring and fall rides mean chilly air and intermittent raindrops. Bellwether’s Velocity Vest is a lightweight layer of protection to keep the wind and water at bay. The Velocity Vest was constructed from two distinct fabrics that work together to keep you shielded and dry. The front and side panels were sewn from EXO-Grid. This lightweight material is both wind and water repellent. At the same time, it’s breathable enough to allow excess moisture from perspiration to escape so that you don’t become soaked from the inside out. To aid in this, side back panels were sewn from TechMesh, which also ventilates the vest. The vest is secured with a full-length zipper that has been set into a zipper garage. The collar is lined with fleece so that it doesn’t chafe your chin, and a shock-corded waist holds the vest from riding up. A zippered back pocket holds a few small riding essentials, and reflective piping was added to increase your visibility in low-light conditions.
